Business websites

Business websites that make your next step clear

Most small business websites have one job: help a visitor decide whether to get in touch. We plan the pages around that decision, then build a responsive site with a working enquiry form, sensible structure and the technical foundations search engines need to read it.

Who it suits

  • Tradespeople, consultants and practices that need a credible online presence.
  • Businesses whose current site is outdated, hard to use on a phone or does not explain the services clearly.
  • Owners who want a site built around their services rather than a generic template.
  • Businesses that will supply their own text and photos, or have budgeted for copywriting separately.

What is included

  • An agreed page list and navigation, confirmed before design begins
  • Responsive layouts reviewed at phone, tablet and desktop sizes
  • An enquiry form delivered through a configured form provider
  • Logical content organisation with clear headings and internal links
  • Technical SEO foundations: page titles, descriptions, sitemap, robots file and clean addresses
  • Help connecting your domain and confirming the site loads over HTTPS
  • Launch checks covering links, forms, mobile layout and the 404 page

Outside the standard scope

These items are scoped separately and quoted against your requirements.

  • Copywriting and extensive content entry, which are scoped separately
  • Hosting, domain registration and their renewal costs
  • Maintenance, content updates and ongoing search engine optimisation
  • A content management system or self-editing ability, unless agreed in the proposal
  • Photography, video, logo design and brand identity work

How the work runs

  1. Discuss

We talk through your services, your customers and your goals, and look at any existing site.

  2. Define

We agree the pages, who supplies each piece of content, the enquiry requirements and the costs in a written scope.

  3. Build and review

We build the pages and share a preview. Feedback is handled against the agreed scope.

  4. Launch

We connect your domain, run launch checks, and hand over access and documentation.

Common questions

Can I update the website myself?

Not by default. Unless a self-editing system is agreed in the proposal, changes are made by us and scoped as updates. We will explain the options before you choose.

Do you write the words on the site?

Copywriting is available as a separate, scoped service. If you supply the text, we will suggest structural changes where a page is hard to scan or the next step is unclear.

Will the site appear on Google?

We build the technical foundations search engines look for, but we cannot guarantee rankings or traffic. Ongoing search optimisation is a separate piece of work.

How many pages will I need?

That is decided during the Define step. Many small businesses start with a handful of focused pages and add more later if needed.
